Why bring a heavy sled when you can bring an inflatable one. The Surfster Ice Inflatable Snow Sled rolls up like a sleeping bag (89 x 25.4 cm) but packs a lot of fun when inflated (115 x 80 x 60 cm) Head face first down the hillside with the nose inches over the snow or sit comfortably on the inflated sled. The non-slip handles and neolite knuckle guards makes for a fun but safe ride. Great fun for kids of all ages (3+).

Ski Dubai has 5 slopes that varies in difficulty. The longest one is 400 meters long: Constructing a ski slope in the desert is one thing, but to keep it running most cost a fortune. 30 tons of fresh snow is generated daily and the temperature is kept at a constant, and comfortable, -1°C to -2°C: Our facility is specially designed as a massive cold box. The walls have numerous levels of insulation, and the roof is 5 metres higher than the ceiling, providing very efficient insulation. This makes Ski Dubai one of the best refrigerators in the world! We have 23 blast coolers (air conditioner type machines) that chill the air and maintain a temperature of ...

Finally a decent web browser for the pocket PC Opera 8.5 Pocket PC (beta) is based on the same core as the Opera 8.5 desktop browser. It is available for both Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows Mobile 5.0 but it also works on older versions. I am running it on my iPAQ 4150 without problems even though it gave a warning during installation. The CAB installer can be downloaed directly to the Pocket PC or via Active Sync. Main Features: Open URL with auto-complete Zoom Download Multiple Windows Navigation and history Bookmarks Landscape/Portrait Mode Full screen/ Fit to screen Pop-up handler Pad-lock icon on secure sites User preferences Context menu

Yeti sports part 10 (Icicle Climb) is just out: It is as simple and addictive as ever. Throw the icicle with the left mouse button to make “steps“ for the penguin. Each pingu jump is limited to 1.2 meters so use the 12 icicles carefully.

I just bought the tickets online so I will be in one of the camper areas on this map during the Italian MotoGP 2006 :(click for a larger image) I live close to the Monza racing circuit but this will be my first live motorcycle event. I hope the MotoGP race in Mugello this year will be as good as the one in 2005 which was one of the best I have ever seen. It will also be the first time I go by camper. The venue looks ideal for campers as only campers are allowed to enter the circuit. I got the 3 day pass (124 euro) that gives access from 14.00 on Thursday until the races finish on Sunday. I will be able to see most of the action live without taking a single day of vacation ...

Geeks Are Sexy reviews several tools and tricks for getting access to your machine if you have forgotten the Windows Password. Best of all; the utilities are free. The Offline NT password & Registry editor looks particularly impressive as it allows you to boot from a floppy or CD and reset the password of any local account as well as edit the registry. Thanks Mark

I have to get a ElekTex Smart Fabric wireless keyboard just to see the faces of colleagues and clients when I roll it out during a meeting: The water repellent fabric keyboard comes with Bluetooth support which makes it a snap to use it on PDAs. I write faster with Graffiti than I do by hand (as I never write by hand anymore) but a keyboard like this could be a great alternative for dragging along a laptop to meetings where I have to take a lot of notes.

I hate the touch pads of most laptops with a passion. Tiny portable mice are not much better as I have to twist my fingers in RSI prone positions to use them. The only decent built in laptop pointing device I have found is the “red joystick“ on IBM ThinkPads. The MoGo looks like a great solution for people like me who have a laptop as their main computer: It is thin and highly portable No external batteries or chargers. Plug it into the PC card slot to charge it But most important of all; it is big enough to use it like a normal mouse.

I was having a look at the iFilm top movies of the year when I came across Climb Dance [1989]. Ari Vatanen's record-breaking run at the 1988 annual Pike's Peak Hill Climb Event in Colorado was filmed with cameras inside, in front, underneath and above the car. The 5 minutes 14 seconds racing video leaves you breathless: The 66 MB movie can be found on several internet sites if you have problems watching the streaming version; RallyAlbum.hu, RallyBC.com, RacingFlix.com Cool Or What?

PC World published an article with the The 50 Greatest Gadgets of the Past 50 Years on Christmast eve. Both the winner and the runner up are portable music players:1: Sony Walkman TPS-L2 (1979)2: Apple iPod (2001) My favorite gadget on the list is the PalmPilot 1000 (1996) which made 4th. I was a very happy user of both the Palm Pro and Palm V before I gave in and bought an iPAQ h4150. It is similar in size to the Palm V and it allows me to continue to use Graffiti Block Recognizer. Let us hope the next 50 years are just as rich in terms of cool gadgets and that there continues to be a way to carry them all!

If you have never seen an aurora in your life, you have missed something awesome. I grew up “close” to the Arctic Circle and saw them several times a year during the winter months. Not everyone were as spectacular as the ones in the Space Weather aurora galleries. Below are a couple of examples, be sure to check out the full aurora gallery Amazing how beautiful mother nature can be.
